This is a bit of a departure for me.  This is just "sort of fiction."  This story is actually based on interviews I conducted with the subject of the story, an African-American serviceman who we will just call Tex.  Yes, it's published as fiction, but I didn't just make this shit up, which is what I usually do.  Check it out!  This will be the first in a long series, because this guy has been around the world spreading his pollen!  I have just begun to scratch the surface of his adventures!
